We lost a tow-pilot because of this (he thought he caused it), lots of ways to "break the accident chain", others on RAS were there as well. No, I won't name names of the pilot, it was a very sad day...... Hope this sinks real fast on RAS......... |

No, I won't name names of the pilot, it was a very sad day...... Hope this sinks real fast on RAS......... Nope Charlie. Wrong accident. This was the result of an assembly error. Pilot started to take the glider apart, changed his mind, and forgot to connect the elevator again. Pilot had compression fractures in lower back and some leg injuries. He is alive and well today but no longer flies gliders. Glider went to the insurance company. Some parts are on a flying glider last known to be in western PA. I owned that ship previously. UH |
