I spent a great deal of time flying in and out of several mid-east countries
in the early and mid nineties, including SA. Many times, Saudi ATC wouldn't
even answer a radio call from a female pilot. My company stopped sending
female crew there in about 93. Either things have changed *radically*, or
the report is drivel.
