Shooting a Pilot

Reading Jay Beckman's profile on his photo site (which ends with "GO SHOOT
SOMETHING") reminded me of a funny story from a week or so ago.

I've a friend that's been in a number of movies etc. (ie. he's a recurring
role on the Sopranos, he was in several Star Trek episodes, he was in Class
Action, Phone Booth, etc.) I was with him just before he flew to CA for
"pilot season".

Apparently, "pilot season" is when people in CA get together to make pilot
episodes for TV serials. But he kept talking about "pilot season" and
"shooting a pilot"!

I finally told him that I was getting a little nervous being around him,
given his desire to go shoot a pilot during pilot season.

I'm staying away from the west coast for a while.
