Anyone know where on the web I can get hold of the legend for the Jepp low
level enroute charts. Unlike the NACO charts the Jepp charts don't have the legend on the charts. Having used the NACO for the written, I wanted to evaluate the Jepps by comparing them with the NACOs. I have a couple of recent Jepp charts but no legend. Thanks. |

There's a page (or several?) in the front of the Jepp binder that serves as the legend. |

Im not sure that its available on the web. You get the legend provided
with your subscription when you subscribe. Maybe you can find someone who has a subscription to compare with. Jepp is a very propriatary bunch of folks, and getting more so almost by the day. Forget them and use NACO unless you plan to fly international flights. In that case, just buy the "full press" Jepp product and enjoy. Jepp read = useful only if flying serious international. |

![]() We use Jepp, because they publish our approaches, which aren't public use. If you have "your own" approach, why not just get THAT plate, use NACO for everything else, and ensure that your approach hasn't been altered before each flight? You don't have to worry about it changing. Because the FAA has to notify you will new source documents for any change to a special. It is almost always an amendment to your Operations Specifications. Jeppesen would charge a King's Ransom to chart only a few specials for anyone. And, you can't legally copy them; if you have need for 40 copies, you pay the piper for each copy. |
