Default B-100 to Volkslogger connection

I'm considering buying a used Borgelt B-100. I currently use a
Volkslogger and PDA with SeeYou Mobile.
Any comments in general regarding the B-100?
Will I get any additional functionality?
Anyone have experience with Volkslogger to Borgelt B-100?

Thanks,
Dan Rihn

thanks for the link, however I already looked at the Borgelt web site
and found nothing on the B-100. These were make in the early 90's, the
web site seems to only cover much more recent instruments.
I was hoping to get some feedback from users/owners of the B-100.
I've also done a Google search and found a manual , but nothing on
connecting the B-100 to a Volkslogger.

Dave Nadler (who wrote the B-100 software) has some software updates and
documentation on his web site:

I am sure Mike Borgelt would help you if you sent him an email.

I hate to bother him over an older used instrument, but I'll give it a
try.
guess it doesn't hurt to ask.
Thanks,

The Volkslogger NMEA output will feed the B100 just fine.
No task-declaration connection between B100 and
Volkslogger or PDA; you'll have to input task to the B100.

Enjoy,
Best Regards, Dave

Default B-100 to Volkslogger connection

Hi Dan,

I fly with a B100 and a Volkslogger in my Discus. They work great
together. I really like the B100 and if the 15-year old computer ever
fails I will probably get an Ilec SN-10. The B100 display is easy to
read in any light and easy to control. The connection was between the
two fairly simple. I think owner's manual for B100 that has a wiring
diagram is available on-line. Both Mike Borgelt and Dave Nadler have
assisted me in recent years when I had questions. Bottom line - it is a
high quality, bullet proof instrument that gives you everything you
need except moving map/airspace and automatic wind calculations. I
would like to have wind - I input estimated winds aloft manually but
I don't miss the moving map - I use a paper sectional.

thanks to all for the help and comments.
I have decided to not go with the B-100 and save up for a newer system.
Richard at Craggy Aero did come through and offer to make me a "Y
cable.
So connecting a VL to the B-100 would have been easy.

Thanks again,
Dan Rihn
