Default m20e panel incline

Hi There,

We own a 1966 m20e and we're getting a new attitude indicator and the
avionics shop doesn't know what the incline value is of the panel. He
thought it might have been 7 degrees or so... just wondering if
anyone knows the proper value or where I might be able to find it.
We've called the Mooney factory 3 times and never got our calls
returned.

Thanks,

Dico

Try calling one of the Mooney service centers listed at

We have a '65 M20E and replaced the AI a few years ago. If I recall
correctly, the length of the unit can be a problem. Also, I believe we had
to modify the defrost duct slightly to get the clearance. We also replaced
the DG so the defrost duct may have been for that. The firewall is pretty
close, especially at the upper end of the panel.

Good luck.
