DNN aircraft detection
Not sure how practical for gliders but for powered aircraft seems useful to augment ADSB. They have tested in an around Edwards and could detect gliders.

This is what I periodically ask about on RAS: Machine vision for collision avoidance. The big advantage is that it does not depend upon equipment installed in the other aircraft! |
