Many folks will probably use the TinyTrak see http://www.byonics.com/tinytrak/ A lot of SoCal folks are using the MicroTrak http://www.byonics.com/mt-rtg I just used mine for the first time on Saturday. I added a second aircraft to my SSA tracking page for the APRS (can't currently have both SPOT and APRS as a single line. Its interesting that coverage out west say around the lower Sierras/ Inyokern valley may be much better with APRS than ADS-B ground stations. We'll have to see. And APRS actually works today. Visit http://aprs.fi and center on the Owens Valley any weekend and you'll see a few of us up there. |
