Palmam Qui Meruit Ferat (Honour Where Honour is Due)

After the breakdown of my flight recorder/soaring computer, the most
recent in a frustrating string of failures that resulted in me
thinking of it in terms of my ex wife (She Whose Name Must Not Be
Spoken), I decided to repeat the 'divorce' and replaced the instrument
and vario.

My choice was the LX 8080 from the fairly new LXNAV. I had some
installation issues with trying to guess what to connect where using a
schematic that was missing labels. I wrote to LXNAV asking about the
version of firmware, and received a personalized response 5 minutes
later. Thus encouraged, I wrote back with my questions on the
connections setup, and received a confirmation that our guesses (Billy
Kerns mostly) were correct, an apology that the conversion to PDF had
caused the labels to drop off the schematic, and a correct manual.

All this in 24 hours!

And so I write this to share with the fraternity the news that this
service is so good. I am confident that the 8080 will be too.
