This is one of the ex-Swiss Mk 58 Hunters that RAF has taken on board as ZZ190 and operated by civilian pilots in support activities. It started life as Swiss AF J-4066. It was operated by The Old Flying Machine Company at Duxford as G-BXNZ from November 1997 to December 2002. It was then moved to Hawker Hunter Aviation as G-HHAE until January 2002 at which time it was taken on charge by the RAF as ZZ190. Incidentally, following the Hunter crash at the Shoreham show, the RAF/HHA Hunters have not been grounded by the CAA as they now subject to Military airworthiness requirements. |

Ri©ardo No special privileges for me, I was there as a guest of valleyaviationsociety.net who organise visits to many bases across the UK each year. Indeed many RAF airfields have 'supporters clubs' that are well worth joining. |

Thanks for the tip RustY ©, this was not something I was aware of, only having been on RAF bases in the line of duty - up until 1969! Ri©ardo -- Moving Things In Still Pictures |
