Is this a FAA issue or an EAA issue
From the EAA E-mail this week.
"The tower cab for Wittman Regional Airport's new air traffic control tower was installed early Wednesday morning, signaling further progress for the new, near 140-ft facility that will replace the present tower. According to the FAA, the new, state-of-the-art structure is scheduled to become fully operational in time for EAA AirVenture 2009. The present tower, built in the early 1960s and moved to its current site in 1968, will be torn down when the new tower is fully operational." They are placing the tower cab this week and the think still won't be ready to use for another 2 years. What could possibly take this long?
