Default IGC-Approval issued for LX8000 and LX8000F Recorders

I am pleased to announce the IGC-approval of two new types of GNSS
Flight Recorder, with
effect from 25 April 2008. These are the LX8000 and LX8000F from LX
Navigation (www.lxnavigation.si). The IGC-approval document will
appear on the FAI gliding/GNSS web pages shortly.

This brings the number of IGC-approved recorder types to 39, from 14
different manufacturers. For all of the existing IGC-approval
documents, see:

http://www.fai.org/gliding/system/fi...proved_frs.pdf

This contains a link to a document with a table of all types of IGC-
approved Flight Recorders, a table of Manufacturers, a list of all IGC-
approval activity since 1996, and a short history of IGC GNSS Flight
Recording. An updated version of this PDF document adding the new IGC-
approval has been sent to the webmaster and will also appear shortly.

However, please note that the links to the individual IGC-approval
documents in the above PDF document do not work in Internet Explorer.
Links have therefore been added to the bottom of the page when you
first go to:

http://www.fai.org/gliding/gnss

At the bottom of the gliding/gnss page, there are links to the
following documents, and the new IGC-approval will be added shortly:

aircotecxc.pdf ; cambridge10_20_25.pdf ; cambridge302.pdf ; ew.pdf ;
lxncolibri.pdf ;
lxnlx7000.pdf ; nteeasy.pdf ; ntematchbox.pdf ; peschges.pdf ;
ptechnik.pdf ;
sdiposigraph.pdf ; themit3.0.pdf ; zander940.pdf ; zander941.pdf ;

lxndx50.pdf ; lxnlx20.pdf ;
lxnlx21.pdf ; lxnlx5000.pdf ; flarm-igc.pdf; igc_approved_frs;
dsx.pdf.

All owners of IGC-approved flight recorders are encouraged to download
the IGC-approval document for their type of recorder. If you have any
comments and/or corrections, please email me.
