Default Where am I?

Would one of you computer aces explain why, after I have posted a message in
a newsgroup, I can see the replies but cannot see my post? Outlook Express,
and I don't think I have changed any settings (on purpose, that is....who
knows what I may have done by accident).

Bob.. I see your posts... some times I have the same problem...

depending on how the Outlook program is set up for "number to download".. I
limit mine to the last (latest) 150.. so if there have been more than 150
responses after my post.. I do not see my post.. but may see comments others
made referencing my post.. make sense??

Increase that figure to "500", and Bob shouldn't have that problem.

Maybe you accidentally killfiled (added to the blocked sender list :
MESSAGE - BLOCK SENDER) yourself (or, maybe not accidentally :!) )

Check TOOLS - MESSAGE RULES - BLOCKED SENDERS LIST.

Bingo. I have inadvertently "block sendered" my editor at ASA, but that was
mail, not news. Thanks for the lead.

Bob, you simply have to drop the other shoe. Trouble with ASA that you can
talk about?

Did I imply trouble? She sent me e-mails that I did not receive. She finally
called me up to find out what was going on, which led to the "Blocked
Senders" file. The rest is history. I regularly deep-six senders of e-mail
spam, and I must have been too quick on the trigger one day when she had
sent me something. Very unusual for me to kill-file someone in the
newsgroups, but apparently I did...it was probably that idiot flogging cheap
trips to Beijing...and shot myself in the foot.

Definitely no probs between me and ASA...I have known those folks since the
70s.

That's not necessarily a good idea, since the return address is usually forged.

You probably killfiled him and then your reply as well.

Actually you didn't. I overlooked the word "inadvertently" (you didn't
imply, but I inferred).

I'd better just keep reading CAP. No practicing lazy 8s for me today.
