Looking to renew my CFIG on line. Have done the ones where it is all
focused on CFI for power pilots. Have found none that are designed specifically for glider instuctors. Anyone know of any? Thanks |

Thanks I did the Jepp/AOPA course, actually learned a lot, but I'm also an active MEI-CFII too. Also made friends in the FSDO that offered to renew next time around for me. It was a time consuming pain, and all the paperwork was a hassle, but in a pinch it's not a bad way to think about regs again, especially all the new TSA/Homeland security requirements. Technically every CFI is supposed to take an online course annually at TSA website....I never knew that. E |

I did mine with Gleim online. Don't remember seeing any multi engine material. Thought it was a good course and covered some material that I haven't seen at the glider firc courses that I've been to.

I've updated the last two cycles with American Flyers online course on the lifetime subscription. Easy enough to do, on my schedule, not a classroom schedule.
I'm CFIG but also a Commercial ME IFR rated pilot. So I find the online course very worthwhile. FSDO paperwork was very easy to complete and file with them. Bill T |

Jim D I've also been using Gleim. A lot of pointless stuff for us glider only CFIs. But it's reasonably painless and has some useful bits too. Most of all for an extra $25 they take care of all the paperwork so your new certificate gets mailed to you and you don't have to drive out to the FBO John Cochrane |
