Gliding in Eden
WE open on the 1st of May for the new soaring season in Cumbria. A unique
opportunity to fly in the Eden valley area close to the Pennines highest point Cross fell, A 50 km ridge to run as well as thermals,wave and convergence. No local airspace issues and a wave box to 19,000 ft. Wave is often onsite early in the day and often the early bird get it! Edensoaring is a small club and visitors are expected to help out too 'one for all and all for one'. Local pubs do great food and the days can be long as often if poor in the AM it can be a wonderful late afternoon ridge day. See website for places to stay and field information. Sandy Mccarthy
