That would be cool. Hiowever, to my knowledge there are no operations
that can rent sea planes out to pilots w/o CFI. Insurance killed that about 10 years ago. It would be cool though. -Robert |

The SPA still lists a few in their flight schools directory. But yes, it's very rare to find solo rentals for seaplanes, and when you do there are generally very strict restrictions (I believe that Kenmore Air, when they did rent, had something like a 25 mile radius restriction...solo rental was good only for local sightseeing and proficiency practice, not for real trips). I didn't see any places in or around the Lake Mead area (maybe the one in Kingman is close enough, probably not though), never mind any that rent solo. Bring your own. ![]() Pete |
