To all the "real" pilots reading this newsgroup.......

It's very obvious that Mxsmanic is not serious about learning to fly
real airplanes.
The questions asked by him are very basic questions that could be
found by
reading and educating himself in the "right way". Instead it appears
he is lazy and
wants to take the easy way out. He prefers to use us in this newsgroup
give him the answers to his mostly stupid questions.

I respect alot of you as fellow pilots in this newsgroup and value
your viewpoint
even tho I have over 2,000 hours and built my 1st airplane 20 years
ago. It's aways
interesting to hear others opinions and I will be the first to admit
there is always
something to learn. I enjoy helping others that might have questions
about flying
or a particular airplane if I can. It's very clear that Mxsmanic has
not tried in anyway
to educate himself in anyway other than to ask in this newsgroup.

So here's the delimma, a lot of you knowledgeable people are feeding
the troll!
I know without a doubt, there is a sincere desire to be helpful but
all that is
happening is for every stupid question answered, two more are in the
newgroup
the next day.... it's never ending. I don't want to "kill file"
anybody but Mxsmanic.
I do want to read the rest of your postings and I enjoy them and learn
from them.

Final comment, please stop responding the Mxsmanic postings, comments
about
him, Flight Sim's etc. Just let him fade away and get this newsgroup
back to
questions about flying REAL airplanes, REAL questions, from REAL
people.

Thank You from 63 year old fellow pilot...

Terry

well, i guess i just don't understand or maybe i'm not a real enough
pilot or something. are you saying that if i respond to this guy (or
whatever) you'll "kill file" me??? i have no idea what being kill-filed
is like. does it hurt??

it's not like there is any real shortage of electrons and if we allow
this guy to use some there won't be enough left for me is there?? i'll
admit i'm fast losing interest in msxwhatever but i don't really see
how other people talking to him or not effects me in any way. besides,
ordering people to do stuff only works if you can shoot 'em if they
don't and then they can't anymore on account of they're shot...see?

i notice you live in new york. have they not regulated "kill-filing"
yet? i'm pretty sure california has. at least you have to get a permit,
file an environmental impact statement and adopt a rodent.

chill. please go play in your nice c-150. i really like those even tho
some people think they're more like toys than real airplanes. i've
seen some old snobs that won't even talk to you unless you've got more
plane than that. heck, all i've got is an old 172 but it makes me
grin.

so, c'mon terry, unclench that fist, come in off that porch, leave the
kids alone and tell me about that cessna of yours. 66 model huh? lot
newer than mine, it's only a 62 model but it does have the
johnson-handle flaps which i think are pretty cool. don't think i've
seen you over to the cessna pilots assn have i??

A kill-file simply puts you on a list where my computer will no longer shouw
your posts.

When I killfile someone, I don't see his/her posts. When you reply to
his/her posts and include his/her entire post in your response, now it shows
up on my computer. If you continue re-posting his/her posts, my only
recourse is to killfile you.

Consider killing the message thread instead.

Why not just kill the thread?

I haven't found a way to kill a thread in Outlook Express. I can delete the
thread, but the replies still show up. I tried some other software, but need
transition training in them. g

With the message selected, look under the "Message Menu" you should see an
option that reads "Ignore Conversation", select it.

Now for this to do anything you also have to go under the "View" and select
"Current View" and select "Hide Read or Ignored Messages."

Now why would anyone plonk you? You seem pretty reasonable to me.
