Beech was correct in the old airplanes, flaps close to the
throttle and the landing gear a long reach. Mooney went one better with their gear switch on some models at the top center of the instrument panel But Cessna built 5-10 times as many airplanes as Beech so the FAA adopted the Cessna pattern in Part 23. -- James H. Macklin ATP,CFI,A&P -- The people think the Constitution protects their rights; But government sees it as an obstacle to be overcome. some support http://www.usdoj.gov/olc/secondamendment2.htm See http://www.fija.org/ more about your rights and duties.
