I apologize for the large sized posts.

I thought they were downsized to 600X800.

Today, Tom Callahan made these interesting comments ...

I apologize for the large sized posts.

I thought they were downsized to 600X800.

I see no need for apologies, especially since I asked you for the
larger size.

Gee Tom, can you get this good of a view sitting down or do you have to
"bite-the-bullet" and stand up? I lived at the end of the duty runway in
Oceana Va. for a few years but I like your view better.

Thank you for all your great photos. Keep them coming.

Jim

Except for the Blue Angel "sneak pass" none of the aircraft really bother
us. When the wind is from the west the T-39 Sabreliners make a noisy slow
ascent but they are the worst. That is when talking about the trainers
based here. If we get an EA-6 taking off to the west we know there is one
in the neighborhood but they are so much faster than the T-39's that it's no
big thing.

We live across the street from a bayou with lots of pine trees around it.
As the aircraft fly by on the descent to runway 07L they are partially
blocked by the trees. The ones coming in for 07R fly behind the house over
the lake. So, we get several views of the landing aircraft. The ones
coming across the lake turn onto final just west of the lake so we can see
them go downwind, turn come across and then turn into the wind for the
landing. What drives us crazy is when they are using the north-south runway
and we can hear but not see the aircraft. That's frustrating and makes me
think of one of the levels in Dante's Inferno but I can't remember which
number, Tom
