Tough Bird - 1 attachment
"A 1st Troop Carrier Group C-47 encountered a Zero over the Pacific. After
the Japanese fighter had expended all of its ammunition on the retreating Douglas aircraft, the frustrated fighter pilot decided to crash into the C- 47. But the sturdy cargo craft flew on, amazingly landing safely with a 'ventilated' fuselage."
