Default Oh, all right

I won't kill file Dave or Mr. Brooks in retaliation for their silly threats.
I will even fly with David Brooks if he wants to call 800-645-3563 and put
himself on my schedule -- my treat. I promise I won't even bring a gun.

Despite the impression that many have of me, I would rather fly than argue
any day.

If you go around beating the Bush, don't complain if you rile the animals.

Crikey, CJ, you're going to shoot your reputation all to hell!

That's not an argument, that's just simple contradiction! 8-)

Seriously - I believe that. But can you fly and argue at the same time? That
was a joke.

I think I'll take you up on it; I like the idea of flying with another old
fart after so much time spent with seven-year-old flight instructors
recently. It may be a few weeks before I can find the time though. But I
hope you still want to after reading this: although I generally hate using
public forums to carry on what is really a personal conversation, you have
publicly mischaracterized me twice in one breath, so:

First, show me any posting in which I have made "silly threats". Or even
serious ones. You called my response libelous once, but it was never
threatening.

Second, where did you get the idea I was opposed to guns? Sure I don't own
one, but I refer you to my long response on Dec 28, 2001, in response to
your "I hate" thread. You really have to stop pigeon-holing people based on
a broad reading of their political stances (go on, ask me about abortion).
Never mind; I do recognize there is some irony in your promise, which
incidentally I will hold you to. I promise not to bring my National Health
Service card, so that's two scary objects dealt with.

Third, about your sig. Now, I said the "I hate you" posting was one of the
reasons for my distaste and adding you to the OE "block senders" list (a
pathetic excuse for a killfile feature). The other was your charter
membership of the blame-America's-ex-president-first crowd. It seemed, at
least back then, there was barely a subject where you couldn't find some
excuse for a gratuitous swipe against Clinton, and it became tiresome. You
wonder why there are people on my side of the aisle who do nothing but "go
around beating the Bush". It's easy: they learned from the masters.

Do I have to come to Port Orchard, by the way? I've spent so much time on
Paine's long runway, which crosses several counties, that my short field
landings are total crap. Well, I did put the Cardinal down "on the name" at
Monroe last week. I may have to drive.
