"The Flying Network? Pouhahahaha! Could you imagine? There are people in
this world so flat so to be interested into watching aircrafts all day
long!"

Actually, there IS a "Flying Network" called "Discovery Wings." I know many
addicts to that channel.

Sadly, it's part of the "expanded cable" service that I'm not willing to pay
for...

Elisabeth and I have a deal. I don't complain about the packages that
arrive every
other day from yarn and pattern suppliers or about the shelves of yarn in

the
basement and she doesn't complain about my wood shop or airplane stuff.

I think it's a good deal!

That's a GREAT deal.

With Mary being a pilot, too, I have a much more dangerous situation.
There is literally NO ONE in the family to act as the "Voice of Reason"...

Luckily, nowadays we're too busy pouring money into the hotel to spend too
much money on the plane... ;-)

When you fly, it doesn't really matter *where* you live...

I don't know about that. I suppose you can get away for weekend
trips, but even then you'll be pressed for time the whole weekend.
Living in western CO, I was able to access 12k ft mtns within an hour
for skiing or hiking (depending on the year). Now I live in south FL,
and frequently eat my lunch at the beach and ride waves after work.
Some things you have to live close by to do. Someday I'll live in San
Diego so I can do it all.

I've been through Iowa (and other flat, land locked mid-west states) a
few times, and I couldn't live there even if I had a SR-71 sitting in
the backyard. Others enjoy the low cost of living and stronger
families or whatever, so they probably wouldn't enjoy places I like.

Also, if you aren't interested in cooking you won't understand "Food
TV" (food channel). I happen to enjoy cooking and its unique mix of
science and artistry, so I enjoy watching a couple of the programs
there. Just as I enjoy watching Discovery Wings and Speed TV (when
they're not showing Nascrap anyway.).

Besides.... my wife is addicted to the Food Network... I have no choice!

Consider yourself lucky. Mine is hooked on QVC. I get about 3 packages a

day
from them. I can't say anything, because her rebuttal is always the same:

"Yeah? $1000 for a headset? $1000 for a GPS? $3000 for the annual?"

She's right. :-)

Well, mine discovered ebay several months ago. Packages every day. But I
will have to admit, most of it was for Christmas and she got some really
good deals....

Food has always been near and dear to my heart, too. I use whatever
means to track it down.

Because I fly, I envy no one.

Was watching Food Network a little while ago and they were in... Iowa City
doing a show at some guys house.

I don't know what's more funny -- them doing a show in Iowa City, or you
admitting to watching the "Food Network!"

I'm open to that, too . . . As a matter of fact, I'm especially open to
that.

I've heard of some bars in Atlanta where you can find some of those. You might
see is the "Lockerroom" is still open. :-)

Is that a full drive, or just a 3-wood?

Let me check the Golf Channel, and I'll get back to you.

My wife is a quilter. Anyone exposed to this disease will know what that
means. But, she also enjoys time on the boat, so it all balances out.

No, but perhaps you're missing mine?

I guess my previous post was a little too subtle and diplomatic for you.

You DID miss John's point. Your reply had nothing to do with what he wrote,
and exhibited a clear divergence from the topic at hand. I understand the
point of what you wrote, but it's completely irrelevant to what John wrote
and does nothing to demonstrate that you comprehended his reply to your
statement "Next you'll be telling me how interesting the "Golf Network" can
be".

Is that a little clearer to you?

Pete
