Why did they sell?

Happy Flying!

Mee too. Why'd they sell?

I remember Brian talking about a kit plane in his(pl) future, don't remember
what kind.

Why did they sell?

A combination of things, really. They're ready to move up in speed, but
they're also newlyweds and are talking about starting a family -- and they
just bought a house, so money is tight...

Life has a funny way of piling on, sometimes.

Yeah, he'd like to build an RV-10. Time is tight, though, which makes
home-building a long row to hoe.

Indeed I feel CJs pain. Selling the Warrior was a tough decision but it had
to be done. As Jay points out our discretionary income has been cut in half
because of a new house and potential baby on the way. I suppose I'll go back
to renting for the short term - our FBO has a brand new 172 with garmin
glass. The other possibility is to buy something cheap (C-150, 152, etc).

The wife REALLY wants to build an RV-10 but I don't see how that can be done
for much under 100k....

It's got to be a bicycle? You couldn't get them to wave that one little
rule? Think of the converts you'd get with some spin training!

Good luck Mormie.

Nah, they give us old guys a car, though a bicycle would probably be better
for my health!

"potential baby on the way"??? It either in the hangar or on the ramp.

I'm helping my buddy construct one right now. The last of the kits
just came in and the final price tag with a home overhauled O-540 and a
VFR glass panel is looking to be around $85K.

The real burden building one of these will be time. Unless you have
no life, like my pal Doug, it'll take a long, long time. The build
site is at :

Planeless in Seattle? That's a chick flick isn't it CJ? Sounds like
what you'll be doing will be just as interesting as flying... only in a
different way.. :-)

It feels funny to be planeless after seven years of ownership. I will be
looking for another plane when we get back in late 2006.
