Need student pilot kit 61 - recommendations Jeppesen or Gleim?

Jeppesen:
Expensive
better Illustrations/pictures.

Gleim:
-Lower Cost
-mostly black & white (except for book covers).

You need to also consider ASA, and King, and Sporties.

Personally I like ASA the best (lower cost/best value).

The guys I instruct with like Gleim. We used ASA for a year and are
now using Gleim.

Remember Bob Gardner of Rec.Aviation.Student fame wrote the ASA
complete pilot text included in the ASA private kit.

I agree, I trained with the ASA kit and felt very confident going in for the
written test.
