I was a lowly teaching assistant and had a lab section (Electrical Engineering). On one occasion, the lab handout provided the color codes with numeric values. The handout then said something like "your instructor will provide an easy way to recall the sequence/values". Well, of course, at least half the students already knew the bawdy version and kept asking me to recite it especially since there was a significant co-ed contingent. And, Ron, you probably recall that there is a different version for VGW that "explained" the "ROYG". :-) Michael Pilla |
