My membership initiation was in a C152. Orally speaking only, of
course. I should have kept that one...

I wonder how long it took them to come up with this phraseology?

THE PILOT IN COMMAND'S IMPROPER INFLIGHT DECISION TO DIVERT HER ATTENTION TO
OTHER ACTIVITIES NOT RELATED TO THE CONDUCT OF THE FLIGHT.

I don't know but the man is obviously a genius. He should be promoted to
running FEMA or some other such organization where his talents can be more
properly utilised.

Man, your significant other -- even using, er, alternate means -- musta been
a contortionist!

LOL, having now seen the inside of a 152, I can appreciate this comment
:-) either that or she must of been very very petite, or had her legs
sticking out the window.... or....

Hey Jay,

Did you happen to notice if the fall colors were starting up yet?

I am planning on taking a friend of mine (who is recovering from
lung cancer, he never smoked either) on a leaf peeping tour next monday 10/10.

I'm based at KUGN and was planning on flying to DuBuque and then follow the
river northward towards Prairie du Chein, stop for lunch/gas and then head back
towards KUGN.

Just checking since you were that way recently. Did you see an fall colors?

So we're climbing out of Prairie du Chein, WI (KPDC) on a beautiful early
fall afternoon. We've just been to the local riverboat's all-you-can-eat
buffet, and Mary is flying as PIC with my 27-year old nephew in the right
seat.

Snipped for Brevity.

Not yet! There was just a hint of colors in the trees, but nothing really
discernible yet.

They will pop out pretty dramatically if we get the 30 degree weather
they're predicting for tonight, though. It's a beautiful flight when
they're in "full bloom"...
