Have you seen the forecast? It's no longer expected to improve as

I know I'll pay for this next summer...

home movies onto DVD....

Can you add to the list? What do *you* want for Christmas?

As usual, that's the question I'm hearing from relatives. Also as usual,
I have no friggin' clue what to tell them -- I need nothing.

I need nothing...I want everything.

Cuban cigars, new knees, a Beretta S687 Silver Pigeon Sporting Clays
shotgun,and a ICOM IC-A24 transceiver.

we don't exchange useless stuff (AKA x-mas presents) in our family for
years. We spend some time together and try having a good time.

Well, with our kids I don't mind. However, I proposed holding that kind of
Christmas with my sisters a few years ago (ages 59 and 56, by the way), and
you'd have thought I was trying to steal their favorite teddy bears.

So, onward we march, into consumer heaven...

I thought he wanted a turbine Mooney...

....which would then make possible me finding *his* Ercoupe in *my* driveway,
with a big red bow wrapped around it.

You're a good American, Jay. Remember the current Christmas
celebration with all the gift-giving was invented in the 1930's as a way
to start the country climbing out of the Great Depression.

In colonial days the idea of decorations and gifts would have been a
sacrilege.

Well, enjoy it the way YOU (and family) want to and don't let anyone shove
their notions on you.

This year my family is going to meet all the in-laws at Grandma's
(Scottsdale, AZ) and the guest of honor will be my son, Michael, home for
his first Christmas with family since going active duty with the Navy in
2002.

Make the most of every year. This is likely going to be Grandma's last one
with us.

Like the old adage: Do it YOUR way!!
