I agree...

John Hamilton (the journalist), is actually quite good, and seems like
a really nice guy as well. I was watching some of the storm coverage
last week, in Sacramento, and he got up between (very close) systems to
tried and capture some of the localized flooding we were seeing in the
area. It was really gusty, and he aluded to that in a few of his
reports and interrupted one of his reports, saying that tower was
suggesting him to land, due to the next system that was nearing the
airport.

All this is not entirely relevant, but I thought I would add a little
commentary/opinion on the reporter himself. I have been very impressed
with him over the year or so that I've seen him reporting.

Best Regards,
Todd

He's actually the guy flying too so he should know something. In
general he did a good job. However, I would have added that the tail of
the plane is **designed** to withstand the force of flipping over. The
fact that the plane ended up on its back is something the design
engineers accounted for, flipping itself is not life threatening.

Fremont is quite far away from Rancho Murieta. Not sure why KCRA even
reported the Fremont thing other than it made for an interesting
picture. Its not in their TV market.

I guess I was eluding to the frequency of incidents that we've been
seeing lately, and strayed from the focus of Rancho Murietta.

If it's close enough for a $100 hamburger, than it's too close to home!

Frequency? I just saw a comercial on TV from some insurance company that
claims there is an automobile accident every 5 seconds in the US.
How's that for frequency...

0.2Hz

Did you know that, on average, approximately once every 5 hours 25 minutes
someone somewhere in the world dies falling out of bed? At least according
to this link:

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/mor_fal_inv_bed

Another good reason not to get out of bed in the morning!

And it seems more people die falling out of bed (1616) than in aircraft
accidents (1553):

It's a good thing every car or siesta accident doesn't get reported on
our local news! ;-)

Can you imagine? "Joe Dirt died this morning while falling from his
pillow-top queen... It was a text-book fall, as you can see while I'm
panning out...... hang on a second...... this just in....... we have
another apparent sleeping accident up-town.... it is unclear as to
whether there are any fatalities, but we will bring you details, as
they become....... hang on a second..... folks.... we have another
one................."

Cheers!

They always automatically report it's a queen. It was, in fact, a full size
bed ...reporters!

Next they're going to tell me it was a Serta mattress, when it was clearly a
Sealy Posturepedic ....reporters!
