Default Great fly-in destination (New York/New Jersey)

From AOPA.ORG:

"The city of Allentown today announced that it will request that the FAA
change its Class C Airspace to be Class B airspace with the Queen City
Airport (1N9) as its core. They also announced that they will be building a
tower on the airport, and extending the 3950' runway to 6000'.
The announcement came on the heels of a sudden unexpected increase in volume
that has overwhelmed the moderately sized airport. When asked about the
reasons for the rush of airplanes headed to the airport, officials reported
they believed it to be due to an improving local economy and proximity to
tourist attractions such as Dorney Park. However, locals were overheard
rumbling about a local night club that has drawn attention of the pilot
community..."

While not a "strip" club, there is an on-field brothel at Lida
Junction Airport 15 miles east of Goldfield, Nevada. The 6,100' x 80' dirt
airstrip is maintained by the Nevada DOT.

Whoa, pardner -- now you've clearly stepped over the line, proving to
Emily and Matt that we are all, indeed, pigs. Or dogs. Whatever.

You got GPS coordinates for that air "strip"?

What line did I step over? I'm just giving a PIREP to fellow pilots! :-)

0L4 - Lida Junction Airport, Goldfield, NV
37-29-08.7560N / 117-11-27.2680W

For a diagram of the airport, see the Nevada DOT pdf at
http://www.nevadadot.com/traveler/av...f/24lidaju.pdf

If you are interested in a new business opportunity, the ONLY business at
Lida Junction Airport is for sale. See http://www.cottontail-ranch.com

Howard Hughes was supposedly a frequent fly-in guest in the late 60's.

Goldfield, the Esmeralda County seat, was, 100 years ago, the largest city
in Nevada. In 1904, Goldfield's deputy sheriff was Wyatt Earp.

And it's got HISTORY!
Alexis is a cool sultry type name for a woman.... I think Alexis' Park Inn
West has a great ring to it.

My favorite part of the website is where it says "AS SEEN ON TV." Was
Ron Popeil involved in this venture?

Naaaah, I don't think Mary will go for it.

I like the leopard-print Lazy-Boy recliners! Dang, that place is like
an "artist's conception of 1960s whorehouse..."

It was "featured" in one of one episode of the Fox TV show "Casino".
