I'm just trying to sell a plane. I am not taking a class on web sites.
Its not an English class. Do you get the idea of the plane what it is,
its year, hours.

I think what people are trying to say is that they don't want to buy a
plane from someone who can't formulate a good ad. Makes them wonder how
the maintenance was performed, I guess.

Exactly...

I wouldn't want to buy a $50,000 aircraft from someone that can't even
make a basic webpage look decent using Front Page. FP has to be the
easiest way to make a page look decent, and he has failed.

Now he is getting mad and popping off because a couple of us are trying to
help him. Damn, I even offered to make a page for him with no appreciation
from him.

That's the thanks that we get!

Most people that fly could not make a web page if there life depended on it.
And they are good pilots and maintain their plane perfectly well.
If you own a plane ask the guy you bought if from if he knows how.
I should of never posted it, but I did.

Well I hope they are smart enough to look at the logs if there not they
shouldn't even be posting on here. Let alone buying a plane.
People that get hung up on spelling and such should just get a life.

I didn't say that all pilots could make a webpage, did I? I didn't say that
those that can't make a webpage aren't good pilots and can't maintain their
aircraft, did I?

Can you use Word? You used Front Page to make that webpage and Front Page is
just like using Word. Front page makes it so simple to make a page, WYSIWYG.
How much more simple can that be? The way it appears is the way that it
(should) appear once it is uploaded on the web!

Now, with you using a WYSIWYG program and you still can't get the text not
to overlap, I really don't know if I would buy a $50,000 airplane from you.

If you have the money to own a $50,000 aircraft, I would imagine that you
would have $50 to pay a kid to make a very simple, more professional looking
page for you. That page would be very simple to make and I could even do it
in less than 30 minutes, and I write my webpages by hand, not by using any
type of HTML program.

Ya know... If it wasn't for us, nobody would even know how to contact you.
And you are getting mad at us because we tried to help. You should be
showing some appreciation for the people here trying to help you instead of
everyone just reaming you because you make a post that is (I'm sure) against
the rules in this NG. Typical...

why? I mean I cannot possibly see a correlation between one's
web design abilities and ability to care for an aircraft...
actually some of the best maintained aircraft I have seen
belonged to the older generation of pilots who are not
necessarily well versed into the latest online fads.

I'm not saying anything about one's ability to make a webpage. What I am
saying is that if I couldn't make a webpage and was selling something that
was worth $50,000 (or even $20,000), I would pay someone to make one for me.

That just shows me that the seller doesn't care.

But... That's just *my opinion*...

HTML isn't exactly a fad. I was using it in college.

Hell, we're just trying to help you... You should feel privileged that
we didn't slam you for posting an ad on the newsgroup... For the most
part, I suspect that everyone who has made a suggestion has been
attempting to give you constructive criticism... One could even argue
that we are trying to help you create a more professional ad so that
your plane might be easier to sell... Apparently you don't want our
help... Oh well... When you get some spare time, please feel free to
**** off...
