A glider ride makes a great gift. Everyone who has taken a ride exclaims it
is a never-to-be-forgotten experience of a lifetime. Your local commercial gliderport and many glider clubs offer glider rides and most have gift certificates. Glider pilots all know how privileged they are to be able to fly - an experience dreamed of for many thousands of years and only possible in the past few decades. Gift certificates are an important source of revenue for many glider operations, they will appreciate your support, and you will be doing something to help the sport grow. -- Thomas Knauff www.eglider.org |

Tom:
Right on! You've got it absolutely right, Tom -- glider pilots should think about sharing their love of this sport with a friend or loved one by sending them for a glider ride. Soar Minden has gift certificates that will suit everyone's pocket book, and these tourist rides help keep our prices down for our other activities. Check out the rides on our web site www.soarminden.com or call us at 1 800 345 7627 if you know someone in our neighborhood who you would like to treat to a ride. Or if you're near another commercial operator, call them for gift certificates. Fred LaSor Soar Minden 1 800 345 7627 On Dec 8, 7:12 am, "Thomas Knauff" wrote: A glider ride makes a great gift. I think that glider ride gift certificates make great gifts ..... for the right person. The 2 commercial operators that I flew rides for LOVED gift certificates as 40% were NEVER redeemed. It was like printing money. DO give glider ride gift certificates, but be a little discriminate. Just MHO. Tony V. P.S. we did have one guy come in with a 17 year old certificate. We flew him even though the ownership had changed. That was classy, Joe Dion. |

I am on the commitee of the club and often give gift certificates out
as prizes at local events. We use a winch - so the actual cost of the ride is minimal. The advertising benefit far exceeds the little fuel used for the launch. Often the person redeeming the certificate brings his family - and thus a couple of paid rides are scored for the club. And of course he tells all his friends. Clinton LAK 12 |
