Wow, John, it's been years since we've gotten a new inductee.

I've been wondering who's been keeping Zoomer stable since Tim Kern
left and got airbrushed. I guess it's just been a matter of time.

If you think Tim was the one keeping Jim stable... man, all I can tell you
is the depth of your ignorance is absolutely astounding.

Silenced? I believe you can rest assured such is not the case. Go look
him up on Google. It's amazing how loud silence can actually be, if
you're listening.

Juan

I have no doubt that he will never be silenced, nor his critics. The one
blessing is that unlike the Wrights nobody will likely be arguing about
ZZZ in a hundred years.

Could be, but you can rest assured the chances of someone talking about you
in a hundred years is but a very small fraction of that.

It's not so much if a tree falls, it's more a case of if you rob a liquor
store and nobody can place you at the scene, you didn't do it in the eyes
of any judge.

chuckle The last time I checked, Lakehurst NAS used to draw literally
hundreds of thousands of people, particularly for their Blue Angels
performances. You gotta work on your analogies, pal.

I know a man who claims to have hit twenty hole-in-one shots, all without
witnesses. I completely disregard his claim, as I do some others. I've hit
a single hole-in-one and doubt I'll ever hit another, but my name is on
the clubhouse wall and his isn't.

I tried golf. Once, got a birthday gift, 10 hours of lessons. Was being
taught how to hit the ball with the #1, at the driving range. I sucked, then
got a bit better and whacked one hard, up and straight down the range. The
ball happened to hit a bird, one of those long legged white ones that hang
out at landfills and near shorelines. I'm probably the only person in Puerto
Rico to have ever accomplished such a feat at a driving range. There must
have been some 50 people there, all practicing, just a 30 second walk from
the clubhouse. They were all astounded. No plaque on the wall, no record.
The only one I care about who was there to remember was my son. Do you think
I give a flying intercourse who else remembers, whether any photos were
taken, who were the witnesses, etc.?

Besides, if you want to read some really screwed up stories, try...

Aero-News.Scam!

Or yawn's "reporting" on what really happened at S'n'F.
That's the beauty of it, I didn't have to report anything that day, the
print and TV media in the Lakeland area did that for us.

And they reported the opposite of what campbell and you tell us.

I know you have trouble reading. It's ok for you to admit it.

I thought you said you didn't care what I think. If so, why do you
keep squeaking up?

No **** John? Damn, I'm, well, Honored. I'd like to thank my parents, and
teachers, and all the little people that made my rise to ultimate success a
reality.

By the way, I got another nasty gram. What is "Tortuous Interference"

It's been documented that Campbell has posted here before. Especially
his threats that everyone should "govern themselves accordingly," a
line he stole from a Judge who stated that to him in a trial where he
came an inch from being cited for Contempt. That trial transcript is
also recorded on the internet.

Sorry to correct you, Bear. Campbell was using that line for many
years - probably decades - before that trial. Ron W knows which trial
it was, I'm sure - I think it was a Federal Judge, in one of
Campbell's various suits against Sun n Fun.

Of course, that's what made it hillarious when the judge hit him with
it.

Did campbell comprehend it at the time as applying to him?

Go ask Mr. Campbell, Mike. Why come to me when you can go to the
source?
He made no mention of any barograph or other recoding instrument to
verify any accomplishment.
http://www.aero-news.net/Community/D...1905&Refresh=1

The barograph is mentioned right there next to the altitude, Al.

Didn't see it in the email.

Are you sure you got that email from Jim?

I can't tell you or I'd have to kill you. You have seen some of his email
haven't you? Apparently I should be seeking legal council right now.

Unhuh. Yeah, sure.

I've got no big thing for zoom, generally he is harmless to the well
informed.

I have not said anywhere that his flight didn't occur.

I have said that he is claiming a title he has not earned, and that I, as
one who has earned the title, object.

All I ask is that he remove reference to "World Record", and replace it
with something more appropriate, say "Personal Best".

I admit that sounds reasonable, if in fact the events are as you describe
them.

If an advisory board member of an aviation organization claimed to be a
pilot and wasn't, would you correct him?

In that we do agree.

That too is easily verifiable, and there is but one recognized authority.
You wouldn't accept someone's unofficial license, would you?

Except for the fact that you can ask to be removed from public records that
state you have a license. Go look up Jim in the FAA pilot database. He's not
there, but he definitely has a pilot's license, I have seen it.

Juan

mentally unstable as Jim Campbell. Has anyone seen this BD-5J of his
actually flying?

I don't think he's ever claimed that it's flown.

Juan's is an unusual hobby, hooking up with frauds and defending them
against all odds. I can't see that it's profitable, but if he enjoys
it, I suppose that's all that matters.

On the other hand, maybe he's got enough sense to not actually put his
life on the line, when he's got young offspring to around. It's a
heck of a decision to look your child in the face and tell him you
might not come back from this flight, you might never see him again,
because you want to go fly an impractical airplane for fun.

He reproduced?

Actually Zoom has used the "Govern Yourself Accordingly" threat for
years. I first saw it about 1995.

Then in one of those GREAT KARMA moments (08-27-99) Zoom was told
"Conduct yourself accordingly" in court by a Federal Judge.
http://www.ousterhout.net/zoom/fed-snf.html

I doubt that he appreciated the irony.

Tell you one thing, though, you need to do something about those pictures of

one thing, your posture sucks and you look like an idiot in a flight jacket

need to understand that creating a ****load of websites using the same
braindead, ugly template and claiming you're the news service for half the
world doesn't mean squat in real time.

Better watch out, big guy, I think yawn is lusting after you.

I have never sought attention or the recognition of others, in fact I
dislike it. So I am quite glad that nobody will be discussing me in any way
next week let alone in years.

All those people and nobody to document or witness? And yet the claimant
doesn't appear to be the type to avoid the limelight. Curious. Is the
analogy imperfect? Lets see: lack of witnesses, didn't happen, I hit all the
main points. Oh well, analogies are seldom perfect.

Sorry you didn't like golf, it's a social sport. Driving ranges are not much
like golf, I know some fellows that are pure dynamite on a driving mat who
play fairly poorly. I play mediocre golf, but my partners and I usually
manage to have a pleasant day. Last word to you of course (like I could stop
you!).
