Well....you can do a barrel roll all the way down to 1g if you have the
right parameters set up and execute properly. As near as I can figure, to set this up for the 380 you would need about all the sky you could get both under you and around you!!!:-)) Dudley Henriques "Kingfish" wrote in message ups.com... Dudley Henriques wrote: Actually "knew him" would be more accurate. Tex died back in 98. Great guy, and he pulled off one hell of a stunt back there with the prototype Dash 80! We always kidded him about it looking like a "whale" roll!!! :-)) Hey Dudley, Speaking of whales... D'ya think the structure (spars?) on the A380 would hold up to a barrel roll? Airbus could use some positive press for that program right about now. That'd be even more spectacular than the photos of the A380 four-ship from last year! |

Wilbur died in 1912, but Orville died in 1948. I could have know him.
I think his last flight was a Connie (as pilot). On Fri, 5 Jan 2007 17:39:26 -0500, "Dudley Henriques" wrote: "GeorgeC" wrote in message .. . Well? Sort of like the Smith Brothers I think, but they coughed less :-)) DH GeorgeC |

It had to be strange for Orville, watching the ongoing never ending
legislation and restrictions and regulations coming into the picture as aviation progressed. It had to conflict with his mental images of those early days on the beach with the Flyer. You have to wonder sometimes how someone like Neil Armstrong must feel when he's all alone out late walking his dog and looking up at a new full moon? Interesting introspective.
