How long after you quit does it take for your insides to look better?

Varies according to how much smoke done-gone-in and for how long.
One thing is for certain, things start improving immediately. Just some
things may not get completely repaired.

Well, I quit smoking 21 years ago. Best think I ever did, and I hope
my lungs are nice and pink again.

But all these stupid laws making it a crime for people to smoke --
OUTSIDE, now, for chrissakes -- is just sickening.

I was visiting a friend at the hospital last week, and noticed that
they have now banned smoking OUTSIDE the hospital. All these poor
people, some in wheel chairs, must now push themselves OFF HOSPITAL
PROPERTY to have a smoke!

Un-friggin'-believeable. How did this kind of society develop when we
weren't looking? Big Brother really is now EVERYWHERE.

At that point, you're at a perfect launching point for flying the Pacific
coast - a fantastic air adventure in itself.

Ah, you've described my dream flight. Take a couple of weeks off, and
go fly around in Newps' territory for a while. Then fly over to
Oregon, Washington, and down Hwy 1 to San Diego.

I've done it in a motorcyle -- someday I want to do it in Atlas....

Finding aviation beer all the way! I wonder if there are any
"aviation-themed" wines in Napa Valley...?

I agree that talking about beer is preferable to inane questions about
mythological autopilots, and much more fun.

If my mythological autopilot drinks an aviation themed beer in a county
that outlaws driving while smoking, how long do I have to wait before it
can fly a coordinated turn?

On the ground, engine off, your aircraft has to be able to

1) balance on its mains

2) follow the stripe down the center of the taxiway for at least
100 feet or 30 m

3) with the landing lights off, bend the left wingtip around to touch
the spinner, then the right wingtip

4) recite the phonetic alphabet backwards

I am in favor of No-Smoking legislation.

However, before any bill gets passed, the State must get off all of the tax
monies smoking generates. All of it ...cold turkey. That amount of lost
revenue gets slashed from the budget ...again, cold turkey. No new taxes are
allowed, to make up for the deficit. Programs must be cut!

And that will NEVER happen.

For some strange reason, brewers -- especially microbrewers -- seem to
be enamored with aviation. Can you name any of your local "aviation
ales"?

Jet City Ale. It's supposed to be a Seattle microbrew, but it's actually
produced under contract by a brewer in (where else?) Iowa. :-)))

Be careful. Some counties, like the one I live
in, are "zero-tolerance." There is NO legal BAC.

Which means that even one beer, regardless of the
effects on your driving, count as a DUI.

What state and county is that?

I'm a three-or-four a day smoker.

No, not packs....these: http://tinyurl.com/29x54e

Inhale one of these and it's ALL OVER.

Better than drugs and damn near as expensive.

You were looking in the wrong places. It started over 150 years ago.

Big Brother really is now EVERYWHERE.

Yup...and he's not going away.

So....?
