two things:

1. *.bmp is an inefficient way of posting graphics.
please stick to *.jpg or *.gif format.

2. if you insist on using yEnc, please follow the proper convention and
include "yEnc" in your subject line.

My only point for the OP is that, for example, planez122.bmp even though
yenc'd is, at 2.3 MB, a preposterously humongeous file. Decoded, it shrinks
only by 50 kB. If posted as a jpeg file, it is a svelte 155 kB and worth a
look.
On top of that I've a feeling that is not really the
photographer with his copyright on the image, Baldur Sveinsson.
