Hey all,
Sometme in the late 80's or early 90's I was at an airshow in Fl, can't even remember which airport, anyway, a big name in the world of warbirds overshot the runway in his Skyraider, the bird flipped breaking his neck and killing him. all I had was this 35mm Yashica non-slr camera. I got a shot if the plane on its back, thats about it. Can anybody provide any information of this incident? Maybe some pictures? Wish I had more to give the group, thanks for the posts. Al |

Al Are you thinking of Charlie Hilliard and his SeaFury at Oshkosh? I think that was at SnF. Same type of accident. TP |

I was only commenting that Hilliard's accident was in Lakeland rather than Oshkosh and that his accident was somewhat similar to the Skyraider accident to which the OP referred which, as you kindly pointed out, happened in Titusville. No, it definately was in FL. The guy that crashed was a big name in
the warbird community. I believe he also owned a Corsair and a few other warbirds. Thank you though. Thank you John,
That's the one. I was just going to add that it may have been at Titusville. To all, I just "Googled" the tail number, the plane, if it's the same,
is now in the Lone Star Flight Museum. "Bob Moore" wrote in message . 146.128... muff528 wrote I think that was at SnF. Same type of accident.
