I lived in the region for about 9 years and couldn't get back to the

southwest quickly enough. I guess it all has to do with what you're used

to.

It certainly does have to do with what your used to. of course i realize how heavily i'm being taxed. but my family, friends, and beloved glider club is here. how in god's name am i supposed to leave all of that?

I still think that you would enjoy a week at Harris Hill in August. No forest fires and daytime temps of 80d F. Green. You should fly up in your new motor glider.

You might like Vermont even better as there is no 'concealed carry' permit required.

I can't imagine wanting to return to NY. I did make one flight in a K-21 at
Harris Hill and I delivered a Ventus there from Chicago, but I can't stand
humidity.

On the bright side, I found the motorcycling to be very good in the
Adirondacks, Finger Lakes, and Catskills and, if you've not been there, you
must visit the Glenn Curtiss Museum outside of Watkins Glen. Cross country
skiing was great, too!

Vermont's pretty, too, and I've XC skied there, too. I have in-laws in NH,
as well.

But wouldn't you have to live in New York?

Elmira (Harris Hill) is in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. It is one

of the most pleasant places in the world in the summer. I've spent

several vacations there.

Dan, feel sorry for your experience in NY you should have come to NH no income tax and no sale tax Not all of North East is heavily taxed.
