.9 to M2.0 in 27 miles, 1' 45", 1000 pounds of fuel. On takeoff, brake
release to .97M, 43 seconds. Same, to 45000, 90 seconds. M2.0 cruise
at FL730 in 3/4 AB. Not too shabby! I want to fly one some more! Come
on, Powerball ticket!

Just making sure, but you really didn't mistype FL730?

(oh MAMA!)

Indeed not. We returned to Homestead AFB from Tyndall AFB at FL730

after running some tests against a U2 - both uf us had full pressure
suits and they were quite comfortable. The Dash 19 engined 104As
cruised at about 3/4 AB at 315IAS and M2.0 (Eyeball approach to best
L/D). I regret we didn't assess maneuverabiity up there but certainly
there was more power avalable.
