In my opinion, a title search should be undertaken by the buyer in EVERY purchase of a used airplane, regardless of whether it's financed. Then, if there is ANY question about clear title, I would recommend getting title insurance. AOPA provides both title search and title insurance services at reasonable cost. -- -Elliott Drucker
