Bombardier describes the V-220 as the "best power to weight ratio
in their class". Their web site lists the weight at 190 kg/419 pounds (see http://www.vaircraftengine.com/en/te...Data_v-220.asp). I believe but am not sure that weight includes all accessories. What does a comparable engine with accessories weigh? Also, the V220 gets 0.420 hp per pound of fuel. How does this compare with Lycoming/Continental engines? -Much Thanks -Charles Talleyrand |
