It can be said of most people in leadership positions that they are servants of the people whom they are supposed to lead. Unfortunately, most people who wind up in leadership positions fail to recognize this and in fact aspire to positions of leadership for all the wrong reasons. US politics and businesses alike are prime examples of this. I don't think there's anything mutually exclusive of a person being a leader and a servant all at the same time though. Pete |
