If you know what you are doing, about any smart charger (peak sensing), charging at reasonable amperage will charge a battery faster, and with more capacity than the factory charger ever thought about doing consistently. If you are not up to speed on this type of thing, by all means, stick to the factory charger. I do think you are jumping the gun saying it is a bad battery.
