There is a good science fiction novel, Russian Spring by Norman Sprinrad,that is starting to appear prophetic. Essentially, the U.S. has become a conservative bastion ruled and populated by buffons, where the best and the brightest leave for other countries. Europe and Russia have joined together and are creating an energetic space program along with an open, tolerant society. Haven't read that book. I'm still plowing my way through John Adams, and now The Da Vinci Code has been dropped in my lap. I used to really like *thin* comic books.... It's *all* fiction - unless it's about the Chinese being the dominant world power - for the next 100 years. It's all about China folks.
