We have the Practical Test Standards and the Soaring Flight Manual. Due to the nature of our training, ALL US-trained pilots are familiar with both. The former describes the checkride maneuvers and performance standards; the latter normal operating practices. Thus we all have the same signals, we all turn the same direction on release, etc...
