this subject: But, what about all the external wiring required and where do you place the laptop? And, what is this about an external display? The external wiring is messy, but managable since I fly my own and do not need to remove all wiring after each flight. I placed my laptop in the back of passenger seat. The point of an external display is that 1. it is very small w/o keyboard and much easier to mount than a laptop, 2. it is sun light readable (most laptops are not), 3. it is touch screen and FliteDeck could be used with touch screen only, 4. it is much cheaper than a tablet PC, cheaper than ..... (you get the idea). |
