Headed to a family reunion. Likely will land at (MIC) Crystal, and visit
family. At some point we will head to Milacs Lake for a day and then down to
the Iowa City area to check out the "Alexis Park Inn" then home the southern
route. Still need to make res'v in IA but will do in time.

Ah, now you're *talking*! :-)

Come on July 23rd, and you can join us for our pre-Oshkosh Fly In Pool
Party! (Come meet Jim Weir and his wife Gail, Jack Allison and his
brother, and a host of other pilots, all en route to the Big One in
OSH)

Personally, I would recommend going over the top of the lakes, if
weather permits. I've flown that route once (well, actually we flew up
Wisconsin's Door peninsula, island hopped over to Mackinac Island, and
then flew down into Michigan) and it is absolutely gorgeous.

The weather can go from beautiful to wicked quickly, however.

Going around the bottom of the lakes isn't bad (the Great Lakes look
good from any angle, really) -- but flying over big cities just isn't
very fun or pretty...
