You, of course, know that most soft fields are short. And, you don't use short field technique because you want to TD as lightly as possible and that often requires dragging it in with a bit of power. You really don't touch the brakes doing this on a 1500' grass strip? Sure. And spare me your smartass comments like "try again" and "think" when you're contradicting yourself *Genius* It's Usenet.
