What Happened to Private Pilot Magazine?

The website indicates that the November 2005 issue is the last. Anyone know the details? Were they bought by Plane & Pilot (website redirects you to theirs)? If so, I hope the quality of P&Ps articles improve from the current glorified survey articles. I thought Private Pilot's articles really captured the owner/pilot perspective in their detail. For people that subscribe to both, I guess we're out the rest of our subsciption.
