Default San Diego during Thanksgiving

Gang,

I would plan to fly into the San Diego area over Thanksgiving. First of
all, is this a good idea for this time of year or should I mentally
prepare myself to "fight" against tons of heavy iron with my little 182?
Plan of the visit would be SeaWorld and the Zoo. What would be a good
airport for this purpose (Montgomery?).
On a final note, I am Class Bravo challenged and VFR only (I do know
about the fog at night and in the morning at this time of year).

Thanks a lot!
Chris, New Mexico
