Ideas for a commercial long x-c?

Try StGeorge UT...
when I did my long x-c for the commercial.. I launched from VGT and
"repositioned" to Mesquite NV. And started my "official" x-c from there.
Mesquite to SanDiego Gillespie field did the trick.

Maybe you can go south first.. land.. regroup and start your 250nm x-c from
the southern point to VGT or Mesquite or St George. Then return to
Hawthorne.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately Las Vegas is only 203 miles
so it isn't far enough. Phoenix is 317 which is a little far... I'm
looking for something just over 250. I don't have charts for that area
yet, I gotta stop by the airport after work today.
